Verona 4, Madison Memorial 0 (Game 1)
The JV Wildcats played the Madison Memorial Spartans in their first double header of the year. Granick started out the game with a double, and stole third base. Rogowski walked, and after a balk by the pitcher the Wildcats scored the first run of the game. Joe Toner lead off the 2nd inning with a solo home run to make the score 2-0. In the 3rd inning Rogowski walked, stole second, and scored on a Miller single, 3-0 Verona. In the 4th inning Grant Smith drew a base on balls, and Brody Roehrig executed a perfect sacrifice bunt to move Smith to second base. Toman singled which scored Smith from second making the score 4-0. Tekoa Whitehead threw another lights out performance, giving up 5 hits, 0 runs, and had 5 strikeouts to earn the win. The win brings the Wildcats to 4-4.
