Patrick Lewis’s big day not enough, as the Verona Wildcats Freshman lose 7-1 to Janesville Craig

Patrick Lewis did his best to will the Verona Wildcats Freshman to a win with a two-hit game, but the Verona Wildcats Freshman dropped a 7-1 contest to Janesville Craig on Tuesday at BRMS.

Lewis got a hit in each of his two at bats. He singled in the second and fifth innings.

Tyler McWilliams put together a nice outing. Janesville Craig managed just three hits off of McWilliams, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out two during his four innings of work.

Janesville Craig was sparked by #7 and #4, who teamed up for four hits and two RBIs.

The first inning saw the Verona Wildcats Freshman score their only run on the day on an RBI single by Jake Coshun.
