Verona Wildcats Varsity Defeats Milton Despite Allowing 3-Run Inning

Despite allowing three runs in the third inning, Verona Wildcats Varsity defeated Milton 9-4 on Thursday. Milton big bats were led by Keegan Knutson, Charlie Terrill, and Bailey Nickel, who all drove in runs.
Verona Wildcats Varsity got things started in the first inning when John Ferguson grounded out, scoring one run.
Verona Wildcats Varsity pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third an error scored two runs for Verona Wildcats Varsity and an error scored one run for Verona Wildcats Varsity.
Verona Wildcats Varsity tallied five runs in the sixth inning. The rally was led by singles by Ryan Taylor and Sam Pederson and doubles by Brooks Brazeau and Ferguson.

Fletcher Terrill was on the mound for Milton. He allowed three hits and four runs over three innings, striking out four and walking one. Ethan Haefner threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Verona Wildcats Varsity totaled ten hits. Brazeau and Taylor all had multiple hits for Verona Wildcats Varsity. Taylor and Brazeau all had two hits to lead Verona Wildcats Varsity.
Colin Schuetz went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Milton in hits.
